I am taking the whole family to Disney World and am more fearful of my patience than anything, but I believe my children’s glowing faces will give me the patience to be a super dad. My wife didn’t dress me in a Mickey shirt and hat so that is a plus!!!! The older I get the more I understand Clak Griswold!

Patience and the realization that your kids are having a blast will see you through. It is all for them but there are parts that are fun for everybody.
When are you going? The heat of the Summer will make it less fun for you, but won't faze the kids.

Yep...the look on the kids' faces make it worth it.
We love it, and go 2-3 times a year.
Universal is worth going to as well...especially if your family are Harry Potter fans.

We took the family last summer the first of August which I’ll never do again. We knew it was going to be hot but that was the only time frame we could fit it in to work for the family. The grandson had a blast and that made getting there when the parks opened and not leaving until late in the evening worth it. But there’s no way I would go without getting the fast pass because the long lines are brutal but worse when it’s 95 degrees and 99.9 percent humidity. Plus it came a thunderstorm every afternoon that made that much more miserable.
Also be prepared for all the rude foreigners, queers and purple haired teenagers with filthy mouths. I humped a backpack cooler full of water and trail bars and probably would have died if it wasn’t for that so I would suggest you do the same. The food was decent but like the entire place it was expensive so do the ones with buffets so you can feel like you got your monies worth. We stayed at a great resort but was never there except for one afternoon after a early morning trip to Sea World. As much as I loved seeing my grandson having the time of his life my favorite part of the trip was driving home.

Some people love it, some people hate it. I would like to take my family at some point, my wife has never been so she doesn't have any burning desire to go ASAP, but my family grew up going and it is fun. I absolutely do not understand the Disney "fanatics" at church that obsess over it and go 4-6 times a year.
As a former employee of the mouse, it's fun, it's hot, you gotta wait in lines, but most kids love it and that's worth it. Also, the food isn't really THAT much more expensive than eating out, you just notice it more because you end up doing it for multiple meals a day. ALSO everyone can get the fast pass, it's not something extra you pay for.

And whoever said it was the happiest place on earth obviously hadn’t put the hammer down in a bassboat.
I been 3 times. Our first time one October was best. Still warm enough to swim. Not so hot you burned up.
I gotta go on 2 school related trips to New York City with kids this year. I’m done with long distance travel after that.

At what age do you start taking the kids? My suggestion is around 7 or 8. That way, they're old enough to walk everywhere, so you're not having to deal with a stroller. They also have the stamina to last all day, and not have to waste time going back to the resort for a nap without getting fussy as heck. Also, they're old enough (tall enough) to ride everything. And, they retain the memories, too.

My 2 granddaughters and grandson just got back from being there all last week. They had a blast and got a little sunburn. I'm glad I wasn't on the trip. I hate crowds and refuse to stand in line for anything.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

If UCF looses today you might see a parade at Disney because after all, they are the champions. Have a good time and remember it's for the kids., My two were home this weekend for the first time in a while and left this morning, ones in med school and the other is a computer science / forensics master. What I would do to have them little again.
