Boston Red Sox. I grew up in Boston and back in the 1960’s you could get Bleacher Seats for $1.00. You could walk in with a 6 pack of beer in a paper bag, no problem. Being a lefty, Ted Williams and Carl Yastremski were my heroes.

It doesn’t matter, just curious. My favorite team is now, has always been and will always be the Chicago Cubs. Thank you WGN. Favorite team is 1989 that lost to the Giants in the NLCS.

A specific year/era for a team.

I liked them and the Reds with Bench, Morgan and Concepcion when I was a kid and just starting to realize that baseball was my game. There were a couple of World Series that I couldn't lose on.

One of my neighbors at AU's brother in law was on the A's back in those days and he used to visit on football weekends regularly. Super nice guy with good stories and yes, he had the porn 'stache to go with it still. Can't remember his name now but he was Joe Rudi's backup. Basically the 4th outfielder, mostly for glove use. Little guy. Hard to see him hitting one out but I looked it up and he had a few in his career. I think he lives in the B'ham area.

Excuse the sanctimony.

I'm not a baseball fan anymore, the silly strike in the 90s ruined it for me. I've always been a Cubs fan, my aunt lives there and always caught a game when I visited her as a kid. Loved the losers with Dave Kingman bashing balls out of the stadium.

But my favorite teams will always be the old Houston Astros when JR Richard was pitching. He could throw smoke and he had learned to control it when the stroke ended his career. He would have been one of the greatest pitchers ever if not for the early end of his career.

Agree 100%....WGN and Harry Caray in the booth. ‘89 is my favorite team as well. Die hard Cubs fan and Ryne Sandberg is my favorite player of all time.

Back in the day “The Big Red Machine” , the “A’s”, the Pittsburgh Pirates, then maybe Maddox and the Braves. I liked more of specific groups of players then actual teams. Back when players seem to enjoy the game.

My family moved to GA in ‘91 when I was 7, so the Braves really caught fire as I was learning the new place. I’ve been a fan ever since. That said, I have really disliked the way the team has been put together over the last 10 years or so...even when they’ve had success they haven’t seemed terribly like able to me. Now it’s different...the NL east is gonna be a juggernaut for several years and I’m thinking they’ll be right in the thick of it. Last year’s team was hard not to like, and they should be better going forward. So, my favorite team is probably the 95 Braves, but the current one is about to be for real.

Any game that’s on the Little League World Series is better than watching any MLB team

I was in Fulton County Stadium that night. It was unreal how loud it was for about 10 seconds. It rivaled any college football game I have ever attended.

I bet it wasn’t any louder than my living room. Or neighborhood block as I drove my Schwin bicycle around yelling Brave Win and the War Chant.

By far, my favorite MLB team.

Don't worry about Rose not being in the HOF. His lifetime ban will end as soon as he dies and he will go in on the next ballot.

I haven't paid baseball attention since the 70's. I was a Pirates fan and Reds fan. May be why I have so many baseball cards from 70-72. Pete Rose, Willie Stargell, Roberto Clemente, etc, etc.
