Got to my spot a little early this morning sitting in the truck just waiting on the sun. Good luck to everyone that can make it out this morning.

Well it was quiet in my neck of the woods today. Heck couldn't even ambush one lol. Nothing but hens. Maybe they will talk a little tomorrow.

Still waiting on that first gobble. I know birds are here but they are not in the mood still in the winter flocks. Sitting here waiting on the sun rise.

Same story. Quiet this morning. Glad I didn't waste my vacation for opening week.

Man it’s been a tough 3 day stretch here. Gobbling has not been a problem necessarily. They are henned up as bad as I’ve seen them at his place. We’ve been making this trip and many others for several years. We’ve never had a trip without a kill and it’s not looking good. Our streak will come to an end unless we can get it done in the morning. Nothing has gone the way we needed it to. Even tried to catch them coming back to roost this evening and the neighbor shot just across the property line at 6pm. The upside is even if he killed one; there are 3 and he busted up the flock. We heard them go everywhere so maybe we can get between them in the morning. Be back on my places later this week. Maybe things will be better there.
Congrats Redhead!!!

Congrats on the kills. I'm back at work for 3 days but will get 6 off. Just got word that they are finally starting to gobble just a few times on the limb so I should have better luck by the time I'm off. I'm glad to because I can't stand deer hunting a turkey.

Me and little man headed to camp for the next couple days in the morning. More to spend time just the 2 of us but to do some hunting too. Nothing much going on up here but we will be out there regardless. Off to Texas next weekend for the northern opener.
