This is covering 4 counties and I have hung with them all day on multiple occasions. Hopefully something will change soon and I will pull my weight!

I heard several turkeys on limb early in the year, but zero gobbling on the ground. 4/5 and 4/6 I had great Hunts with lots of gobbling but something went wrong both times. I had him at 10 yards one morning, but behind me and his hens busted me before he made it around. Still hunting hard, but haven’t heard a turkey gobble in 12 days. Had my second daughter born 4/2 (came early) so I wasn’t able to plan any out of state trips. Still hunting hard and will continue. Sorry for being a bad teammate, but it is not for lack of hunting!

Had very few opportunities to get in the woods, been remodeling an old farmhouse, and moved in the month of April......had few weekend I was able to get down to the hunting club. Second weekend of the season, had one at 35 yards only to have my Benelli go "click!" I grabbed the handle and shucked out the shell, he was moving waaaay fast and all but gone. Eh, I tossed some TSS his way.... in frustration mostly. Checked the primer and not even a dent! UGH! Next close encounter was two jakes I let walk, came in drumming and half-gobbling at daylight. Almost whacked one of them out of frustration that day. The other times I had the chance to be in the woods it was cold/raining or storming. Birds were silent most mornings I was able to be in the woods this year. I was some tough hunting at my club, no one was able to connect on a bird.
