For me it was the 2003-2005 Atlanta Braves. Hands down. I was just really into Baseball back then and the braves where my favorite team.

But I remember having a Chipper Jones and a Marcus Giles Jersey. I thought Rafael Furcal was the best short stop in the league behind Jeter. I thought (and still think) Andruw Jones was one of the greates outfielders of all time. I also remember Julio Franco who I called the old man and how he had a wicked batting stance. And to top it all off John Smoltz.

I haven’t kept up with The Braves since 2008 and couldn’t even tell you who the starters are now but back then I was more into MLB than I was college football.

A lot of room in right-center … if he hits one there we can dance in the streets. The 2-1. Swung, line drive left field! One run is in! Here comes Bream! Here’s the throw to the plate! He is … safe! Braves win! Braves win! Braves win! Braves win! … Braves win!

Are you asking about a team, or a specific year for that team?

It doesn’t matter, just curious. My favorite team is now, has always been and will always be the Chicago Cubs. Thank you WGN. Favorite team is 1989 that lost to the Giants in the NLCS.

I was in Fulton County Stadium that night. It was unreal how loud it was for about 10 seconds. It rivaled any college football game I have ever attended.

Late 80's, early 90's Oakland A's. Bash Brothers, Ricky Henderson, Harold Baines, etc. They had a hell of a lot of talent before they all used steroids.

Were you around hsv when they were playing for the stars? One of the local stations would even televise some of the stars games.

A worse to first Cinderella story...the 1989 Cleveland Indians. Led by veteran minor league manager turned big league skipper, Lou Brown. Anchored by pitching ace Rick Vaughn and "on the field manager" catcher Jake Taylor. Slugging provided by first baseman Pedro Cerrano with fleet footed Willie Mays Hayes usually scoring in front of the Latin Bomber. Defensive specialist Roger Dorn held down the hot corner of the infield.

Oh yeah. I might as well have lived in Joe Davis stadium growing. I've got broken bats, batting gloves, you name it from hundreds of guys that came through Huntsville and other AA teams.
