Why so many crossbow threads in a bow forum? A bow and a crossbow are two completely different weapons no? I have never shot a crossbow but according to a friend his raven is just like a rifle, easy to sight in good to 100 yds with minimal effort etc, shoot it from the shoulder, look through a scope etc.

I've never shot a cross bow but I have nothing against them just as I have nothing against a compound, never owned either.
By defintition, a bow is defined as powered soley by the Archer's pull.

I don't have a problem with cross bow threads, since they are included in archery season.

Crossbows are for folks who can't kill deer with a real bow. They're just admitting they suck with a bow and give up trying.

Not everyone Bama, some folks for medical reasons can no longer draw their bow. I wish those people all the luck in the world. What I don't care for is those not willing to devote the time and effort to learn to bow hunt. For the record I'm one that due to radiation and chemo I can no longer draw my Mathews at 70 pounds, I can't even draw more than 25lbs lefthanded. Not willing to give up, I'm trying to teach mytself to change hands and hunt right handed. Hopefully, by next season I'll be able to. Then I'm going try something impossible and help SuperSpike get his first kill! rofl

I've killed deer with both. Id rather everyone spend more time with crossbows than rifles if that what it takes to get Alabama deer numbers up.

AH UM OOH.....what Shaw said, in our Fl. club average age of Cross Rifle hunters 35 average age of BOW Hunters 65. Millennials are too darn lazy to devote the time into becoming a BOW Hunter

Not opposed to crossbows but I think they should only be legal during rifle season or for physically handicapped anytime.

lol
I got a little blood on the ground this past season so maybe I'll actually kill one before I'm 50. Lol. I enjoy hunting with a bow though. Wouldn't go to a xbow until I physically couldnt draw a compound anymore.
