Shot my sons arrows this morning at 462ish and was money to 60 even though that bow was sighted in with 421gr arrows so, that's a big plus. Gotta replace vanes on one of his cause I put a tip through one... I'm guessing you lost around 10 fps with the heavier arrow. There shouldn't be too much difference out to 50 yards but beyond that I would expect you to notice a difference. Good luck with the elk hunt!!! I remember the first elk I killed was with an arrow that weighed 555 gr. It was a complete pass through from a Hoyt Super Slam 80 lb bow. It was only a 15 yard shot on a broadside bull.
