I would imagine so, now I am not sure but when they have had bigger tournaments like FLW or Bassmasters in the past have they gotten an exemption to be able to weight the slot fish in?

Yep, while watching last week’s live stream, I heard them talking about this exact thing in reference to the next stop on the tour, somewhere in NC.

I really enjoy the format and the coverage. But, I’m afraid that it’s going to completely change their tournament fishing when compared to your average Joe tournament fisherman. I’d like to see some incentive to catching bigger fish. Before long they’ll all be throwing rooster tails and beetle spins.

That's true, it's all about #'s. I love watching it though. They could change it to a best 5 tourny in the same format.

I watched some of the Bass Master elite on Lanier streaming this last weekend, that was pretty cool.

I really like the format also.... but I agree about guys just going for numbers... I know they have a big fish prize but It would be cool to see a secondary prize for best 5 each day.

I like the idea of weighing them on the water and releasing, but letting them weigh as many as they can catch isn't very interesting and encourages them to pound on fish they've found. I wish they would change it to where they could only put 10 on the scales to be weighed. I think it would add some strategy and add value to larger fish. That's just my 2 cents worth.

It's been years since anyone weighted 10 fish. if you are going to criticize, try to not look stupid. Know what you are talking about! DUH! PROFESSIONAL Bass tournaments do not weight 10! It's been over 30 years since any Pro or semi pro weiughed 10 fish ea!

The MLF tournaments have an unlimited number you get credit for total weight of all fish whether you catch 5 or 50 I believe is how they do it. either way I dont care for tournament fishing fishing is supposed to be relaxing not a competition it seems like they have some kind of tournament every saturday and sunday now and its ruining fishing for people like me. wakeboard boats and jetskis used to be the only problem but you could get away from them by running up stream now the 250hp bass boats ain't much better.

GK, "supposed"? Fishing is different things to each of us. As fa as avoiding people, you can't avoid a jet ski. Once all you had to do is go into a stump field, that doesn't stop them. For the record tournament fishermen find spider rigs spread across a creek annoying. The problem is being considerate. Nothing is more annoying than a party barge or yacht pushing a huge wake. Everyone needs to consider the other guy and just enjoy their time on the water.

I might have to look into spider rigging then grin I'm usually just holding on a spot with my trolling motor using a minnow or jig under a slip bobber.

Perch... you been hitting the hard stuff a little early? I think there's only one person on the thread looking stupid. Maybe it's the Viagra you've been snorting. I've been around plenty of tournaments over the years, but thanks for your clarification...I guess. My idea is that they can only weigh 10 fish, but if they weigh it in the boat it has to count towards their daily weight. Either way, I hope the Tour is successful for the well-being of the guys that chose to swap.
