Just because someone may have been unsuccessful as a head coach at a particular program, it doesn't mean that they are not a good coach. To the contrary, I think there are coaches that can be successful almost anywhere they land (Bear Bryant) and I think that there are coaches that just need the right set of circumstances. There are also coaches that are really good football minds, but maybe lack the business and organizational skills that it takes to be a successful head coach at a major program. I think those coaches are the ones that can really be helped by a year or two at the Saban school of coaching. I think those coaches can also help Saban's program by bringing in a different view point and a different set of eyes to analyse various things within the program.
Of course Saban knows all of this, because he's the greatest of all time.
I'm looking forward to next year. I think Saban is unhappy about losing the title game the way he did. And he's the kind of guy that when something is not right he puts every bit of his considerable skills to making it right. I think what we are seeing is Saban putting together a staff that is going to build the foundation for a very strong finish, perhaps of his career.

With 3 offensive analysts on the payroll & a full time OC, by gosh they oughtta put some numbers up....
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

I remember well how badly y’all wanted Applewhjte to leave the first time. Can’t wait for the sequel. Well... We have no choice but to trust Saban's judgement. So far it has worked out pretty good.
