Yep, they could not pay me to go back there.
I want to try Kansas and Saskatchewan (bucket list hunts) but Kentucky WH was so bad that I am super wary of outfitters now.

Blackwater deer and turkey hunting in South Carolina. 2 thumbs up for them. Season open August 15th for deer if you want to try for one in velvet.

I’m sure glad I fish rather guide hunts for a living. At best your going to have a 30% success rate I would think unless you in a penned hunt. Fishing is way way easier not too hard to catch some fish everyday lol

Give Gene at Kansas Whitetail adventures a call. He is a stand up guy and works his tail off to make sure you have a great experience. We are headed out to his place in April to chase thunder chickens and then going back for the opener of rifle season this year. Have always had a great experience with him. Can’t recommend him enough!

if God wanted me to be a vegetarian, he would have made shooting brussel sprouts more fun!

I books LOTS of Hunts for Gene. He’s actually my first choice for any Midwest hunt. He killed 3 booners last season on opening week of rifle.

What weekend are you going turkey hunting?

Outdoorobsession, yes the cook is a cutie and a dang fine cook. Also the outfitter's wife. Excellent accommodation's. We took a group of 10. We were told that the max number of hunters would be 20. There were 40+ hunters in camp! 20, were "repeat, preferred" customers. The remaining 20 got to hunt a Walmart special ladder for 2 days. Day 3 they rotated you to a ladder that had been sat for the 2 days prior. The ladders were close to each other. If a hunter coughed on either side you heard them. I was situated next to an occupied mobile home. I could see thru their curtains. Dog barking, Momma griping, T.V. blaring, and in spite of all that killed a 140 inch deer crossing a pasture within 45 minutes of daylight. Complete Luck! The outfitter just overbooks is the problem and if your a first time customer you've been warned. He has some great deer....for the preferred guys.

Lots of crooks in Illinois! Go to Texas panhandle. Big deer...big racks... Look into Shamrock Safaris or Red River Valley Outfitters. Great places with lots of big deer. My boys and I are batting 1000 at both lodges after several trips there.

Hunting brings out the worst in people.
