It's my understanding that I should have something solid and heavy for deer or anything else similar really. This is a Ruger Blackhawk just used as a backup. So what's a good bullet? Seems like all of the hollow points are heavier grain than the solid bullets. Which doesn't make sense to me. What would you guys suggest? What's out there? -Keith

I was setting traps and he walked up on a dim road/scrape line that kind of paralleled the road I was on. I knelt by the back of my atv, rested on the rack and shot him at 30 steps. He crashed, spun around and ran off. I moved and shot 2 more times hitting him at least once. When i walked up and saw the spread I almost chit. Then I moved his head and the right antler flopped. I don't know if he got the short end of a fight or broke it crashing into a tree when I shot. I have some more pics I'll post if I can find them. I had the antlers put on a plaque depicting his true spread. "Cull" is just another four letter word...
