So I get home from work after stopping by for some of those tiny roses that Mrs. Irish likes. (She always says NOT to get her anything, but I'm not fooled by that crazy talk.) And lo and behold she has our dinner all planned out and has this nice spread all laid out on the table. She even has me a bottle of Maker's Mark and some dark chocolate treats in a little bag... I whipped us up a few vodka martini's to celebrate...

[Linked Image]

She had seasoned some lamb chops in salt, pepper and fresh pressed garlic. Simple. Then she went about making some twice baked potatoes, while we enjoyed our cocktails and talked. She also made a fresh spinach salad with a whole boiled egg and a warm bacon, onion, sugar and vinegar dressing. While she was making that I heated up the cast iron skillet and put in some grape seed oil and I seared and sauteed the lamb chops until they were about 130 degrees internal temperature. We served it all with a little French Beaujolais Nouveau.

It was pretty damn good...

Thanks man... I wonder sometimes if folks actually enjoy reading them and looking at the pictures. Mrs. Irish and I have a lot of fun cooking together.
