Thinking about trespassing fee hunting this fall. Whats 5 day bow or 3 day gun rights worth? East central Illinois good deer 15 miles from new world record.

$1500 for bow low end to $3000 for 3 opening of firearm high end , depending where you go. id figure realistically $2000 to $2500 DIY trespassing fee..

What is "trespassing fee hunting"? Is it similar to just buying a permit to hunt someones land or am i way off?

I believe he means the DIY type hunts offered there. They include a rate for a hunt, but do not include stands being set up, a guide taking you etc. You pay a lesser amount then a guided hunt, you must scout and set up everything yourself.

Ive been on them before for the 2nd gun season and we did very well. The land we were on was 800 acres bordering Hadley Creek in Pike County and was really good ground.

The only bad part was the land owner had no oversight really and we found 3 deer that were either shot and left as when the hunter saw them they said.."Heck no" and kept hunting for a bigger one or just lost them.

One was definitely left as It was right along one of the wood roads on the property. maybe a 110 " buck.

Over all a great opportunity at a lower price to hunt private ground in Illinois.
