Ole Robin-hood!! You're hooked now! I was getting the same way with bow hunting but traditional archery has fixed that!! There's nothing like it and its hard to explain the rush to folks that haven't tried it. I think everyone should make the plunge.Congrats again John! Keep slinging them!

Robin Hood is a stretch. I’m having a ball though! Thanks Ben for helping me out!

Man that's awesome I'm jealous like a school kid LOL,could you shed some light or explain what your set up was , like tree stand type or model, ground blind? How high did u climb? Again that's the highest of highs to get one with stick and string 👍🍻

On the first deer, I killed it out of a loc-on I had set up on a hillside. It was around 22 ft high, which I was a little worried about due to the angle and losing some killzone, especially if a deer came in downhill from me. Which she did. I picked that spot, because two of the three trails that deer use on that hillside were within 20 yards of the stand. With a compound, you generally are going to have a shot if you see a deer (except for the one real good buck I saw from that stand rolleyes )

The second deer I killed, I killed on a big long ridge that’s fairly steep (for my part of the state) on both sides. The ridge has a swag in it that’s about a 40’ elevation change at the lowest point and it’s about 60 yards long. Deer travel up and over that ridge and cross in the swag. I saw several deer. All the does were trying to cross, but were out of range. The spike was harassing them and finally ran them all off. Well, he just had to come back and check one last time and ended up 2 steps from my tree. I just couldn’t pass the chance up to kill another one with that bow. It’s just too much fun.
On this hunt, I carried in my Millenium m7 lite loc-on and climbed with tree gaffs. I was probably around 20’ high which is still higher than I wanted to be while shooting this bow, but it was where the most cover was.
