Anyone ever shoot them?

I grew up with one and recently bought a 30lb power jet model 3340 just for nostalgia purposes.

If you mean their laminated bows then I have one and they are fine. Some lower poundage bows can actually be solid fiberglass which is only for kids to play with basically.

I had one for a while 45# . I passed it on to someone since I have a few better ones. They’re bomb proof but the hand shock was pretty bad.

I bought this one for $40 bucks just for the fun of it. I’ll likely pass it a long to my nieces

I would imagine that the limbs, being all fiberglass, are pretty heavy, which would seem to play into that hand shock. Plus it would seem to hurt the performance.

I bought one off of eBay about 2 months ago for $30, it is a “Power Jet Super Bow 3350”. The label near the grip indicates 45 lb pull.

I’ve been using it to polish up my very rusty archery skills, I haven’t shot a bow in about 35 years... It seems to shoot ok for me, I can put most of my arrows into the 5” bullseye on my target from anywhere between 5 and 20 yards with it.

Just ordered 20 of those Cold Steel Cheap Shot Broadheads off Amazon and plan on using them to thin out the Armadillo herd on my property.

Jeff

Get somebody to film it. It should be interesting watching you chase down an Armadillo with an arrow in him.

I doubt you'll get any videos but, thanks for the suggestion... I'll keep my .45 auto with me in case one decides to charge me smile

I actually know a fella who did exactly what you were doing. He switched over to the cheapest steel Broadhead he could get cause I guess the cheap shots weren’t getting the job done. Let us know how it works out.

I had one do just that once but it was weird as he11. I was only about 10 feet from him and shot under him. That joker went to bouncing like a basketball and bounced right off my chest before I could move out of the way.

They are tough little critters that’s for sure. Normally, I don’t kill anything that I don’t plan on eating but, they are really getting to be a nuisance. I can’t let my dog out in the evenings anymore without him seeing one or more in the yard and chasing them into the woods. The little mutt don’t realize he becomes part of the food chain once he runs off into the woods... 🐺🦉🦅 😮

I had one walk off with at least 4 380 holes in him. My 45 on the other hand anchors them.
