So, we hunt 325 acres and the neighbor 2 properties down has 150 acres. He also has a pair of weimerainer dogs. We plant crops year around for deer. We managed intensively. We spend significant, funds, effort and time each year. Well, I have been getting the neighbors dogs on my camera all summer. Mind you the dogs have already crossed 1-20 acre tract to get to ours. I've tried to run them off numerous times. I ran into the neighbor around the first of December after seeing the dogs on and off during bow season. I asked him if he wouldn't mind keeping his dogs closer to home that they are in our fields and along the creek every evening. Which is true. I have a cell cameras and I get their picture throughout the night. He said just run them off. I said I've tried that, doesn't seem to work. He said he'd take care of it, it wouldn't be a problem any more, to not worry about it. Well, within 3 weeks they start showing up regular again. So this time, I talked with the guy and explained that I love dogs as well as anyone and I can appreciate having family pets. But, since the rut is coming on, would he put his dogs up so we could enjoy the rut workout having the dogs in there. Absolutely he said, not a problem, you won't have to worry about that again. Well, I've stayed out of a 20 acre thicket all year, saving it until the end of season. The bucks like to hem does up back in here. I got here this morning before daylight, climbed my tree, ready for a beautiful day in the woods. And, guess what comes by me?? Now, I'm not one to shoot a man's dog. I never have been, and I don't believe in it. But what gives? What do you do? It's looking like I'm running out of options. I've posted here, because this is a dog community. What would you do? I'm tied of being nice guy. I'm not being respected here at all.

If they’ll come to you, take them to the pound.

Get a solar electric fence, on your hot wire make a few loops that you can twist into 4" stubs off the hot wire. Take a couple of weenies or something meat wise that is firm and insert it on the wire stubs. Hook it up and wait. It shouldn't take but one time and you can carry the fence charger back.

My suggestion is to buy a havahart live trap. Bait it & catch them. Take them to the pound or pen them up until the season is over. If you are asked, tell him you took them to the pound because you knew they weren’t his dogs.

I know what I would do. Apparently he doesn't give a damn about those dogs, so neither should you.

Unfortunately sometimes you have to take care of the problem.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
