This is a five year old clover plot that has always done well. Produces year round.

This fall I’ve noticed two large spots where the clover is dying. Both spots are 30 feet across and on opposite sides of the plot.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Could be but this is a hill top. I don’t think drainage is an issue.

It happened in the last month or so. Never seen it before.

The pattern is funky looking like a fungus.

Are they dead in circular patterns or just wide spread blight?

Any fungus mycelium or lesions on the leaves?

My durana plot had some spots that looked similar to that last year. It was a total loss this year. Just gone.

This is what I’m trying to avoid. It looks like something is killing it other than too much water. Like I said this is a hilltop plot that has no drainage issues. I have another plot in a bottom that does have drainage issues but it is all still healthy.

Waldo there is some pattern to it. It’s patches of small dead areas all in one large area.

Do you know of any treatment for this?

Several years ago I had a pretty plot of Yucci Arrowleaf that died like that after being established for several years. I thought it was too much water, I didn't replant it.

Doesn’t Durana die off or decline naturally in the 4-5 year range?

This could be natural die off. We’ll see.

Waldo pm’d me with the best advice yet so I ordered some fungicide to see if it helps.

Thanks for all of the replies.

Shouldn’t that be lack of CO2 or am I missing something?

Roots need O2.

Foliage needs CO2.

Just overseed it.

I had some Durana last 8 years but most needed reseeded after 4-5.

That said, I live on a hill and have a small clover patch behind the house. It isn’t old and looks the same. The rain has been tough on a lot here.
