And we didn’t see one squirrel haha. She led me to trees that had nests in them but the wind was howling and the tree rats were not cooperating. It was fun nonetheless and I can’t wait to take her out again. Her dad was a mountain feist and mom was blackmouth cur, was born in June. She is a sweet dog and weathered the wind and sleet well today. Im trying to get her well trained for when my son gets old enough to hunt. Squirrel doggin is a lot of fun.

Thats awesome man!! I got a squirrel dog for the same reason and ive come to enjoy it more than deer hunting. I wouldve went today but the cold/wind will keep them holed up. When the temps get above 50° they really move good

Ha, king, it’s really fun but a lot of mishaps usually happen. Like most more traditional ways of hunting, it’s more about the process. It’s effective, but there have been more than a few times I wished I had my compound instead of a longbow while deer hunting!
