Well if Congress would actually pass a balanced budget and not do constant Continuing Resolutions that expire in months in lieu of a real budget...then none of this would be happening in the first place. It's been going on for decades but has been really bad the last decade.
That's the core of the problem. But they would give up an enormous amount of power and leverage if they did that. This is the first time in the history of our republic that they're being called out on their scheme.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
