POTUS Trump will be speaking at 2PM CST today. I suspect he's going to say that he's declaring a National Emergency, ordering the COE to build the wall and opening the guvment up as of Monday morning. I may be wrong BUT whatever he says, the Dems will be against.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Like was mentioned in another thread earlier this week whether he's at fault or not, he will almost certainly be blamed by 800,000 Federal workers+their families for causing them troubles. That's a lot of votes that will likely be anyone but Trump. Of course, they should have had a rainy day fund but that makes too much sense.

I bet he declares a state of emergency on our border and starts the damn wall. Blames democrats for not negotiating and leaving him with no other option and wants to get people their paychecks. Comes out shining. But the demo's will challenge it in court and get a ninth circuit lib judge to shut it down for a while.

I'm a Fed working without pay and I will be voting for Trump.
There are things more important than my paycheck.
Of course, there will be some Federal voters working for Trump. Me taking a complete stab in the dark, I would guess it would be somewhere around 60-70% of Federal workers would not vote for Trump. Would be curious to see the real numbers.

He won't lose all votes but im guessing a lot. Just curious, are you 35yo or older? Im 53 and the only people I know losing money that have said they'll still vote Trump are all 40s and up. Young crowd and womens are pissed at him.

My Mother was civil service for 28 years and went through several shutdowns. It was pretty much treated like a vacation. An overwhelming majority of federal workers, except minorities, will vote Republican.
