First, you are comparing 12 gauges to 20. Second, tss generally likes more open than lead or hevi shot.

Yup, 12’s will be somewhere around a .660 and 20’s will be somewhere around a .1 less

Yup, 12’s will be somewhere around a .660 and 20’s will be somewhere around a .1 less I hate to mess with my current setup, but TSS seems to be worth the work of switching. So I'm back to square one with patterning and figuring out what load/choke combination will work best. If it is safe to shoot TSS through the chokes I already have, I will just try out the ones that Ive already got.

Its not recommended to shoot through non hevi shot rated tubes, but many do and have with no problems other than a few scratches.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

This. I think more turkeys would be killed if folks just used a full choke with TSS, especially in a 12 gauge gun. I've shot amazing patterns with an 1187 and the full choke that came with it. You would have to be planning to shoot them at extreme long range before you got any advantage from a turkey choke, and the tighter choke is just a handicap on a normal shot.
