Chezik(sp?) may be offered a job at Bama. Bo Davis might be back.

Sark did not cost us that championship game. Saban did by firing Kiffin a week before the championship game. It wasn't Sark's fault that he had to come in and call plays with a QB who didn't know how to throw

True, But Kiffin didn't do himself any favors..... Being late to meetings....Saban evidently could not tolerate that & felt his main focus was elsewhere

True, and i was poking a bit earlier. But the fact is (some may have forgotten) that one of the main reasons Sark left, was because him and Nick had some disagreements, will there relationship last this go around? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I will say this again and repeat what I said in another thread: Considering the constant assistant coaching turnover at Alabama during Saban's tenure it makes it even more amazing what he has accomplished. People talk like Clemson and Dabo Swinney have pulled even with Saban, but if they had had to deal with the same amount coaching turmoil at Clemson it would have been a train wreck. Saban's experience, his highly detailed process and his strong will are the only things that have held this run together.

Had Saban had the same amount of consistency on his staff as someone like Bear Bryant, or Bobby Bowden, or Dabo Swinney he would have probably swept the last 6 or more National Championships going away.

People can say what they will, make fun of his height and some of his decisions, but there is no question in my mind even if the dude quit today, he woudl be the greatest college football coach of all time. Roll Tide!

Sark and Chip Long were both in Tuscaloosa yesterday...Sark has a strong relationship with Tua......some reports are Sark will be QB coach/Co-OC; Long will be OC and Butch Jones will be WR coach.....it makes sense for Sark to want to get back to college coaching where he had the most success......

I think people are actually just butt hurt that Sarkisian ran off and took the job at ATL just months after accepting the AL OC job. I don't remember all of the pissing and moaning and WTF's and WTH's back then when we hired him, everyone knew he was put in a tough spot in the Championship game. Surely a rough season his first jump into the NFL doesn't really change that much....Saban struggled more than anyone in the NFL. I'm going to not second guess Saban on the hire.

Let's see... Sark took over for just one game. The National Championship game and his offense scored 31 points on Clemson with Jalen Hurts at QB and we lost on a last second heroic drive by an NFL caliber quarterback. I think Sark will do just fine, perhaps even better than the last few guys we have had at that position.

They scored 31 points without any threat of a vertical passing game.....the biggest reason Bama lost that game was not converting third downs and putting the defense back on the field....there were three key drops by receivers that would have resulted in first downs but they didn't execute.....regardless of the armchair "experts" Nick Saban would not consider bringing him back if he thought the game plan and play calling was inadequate.....

I agree with you. Especially the vertical passing game and the 3rd down conversions. Let us not forget that Watson is now the #6 rated QB in the NFL.

My only concern is what he did in 2 years with Matt Ryan, Julio and now Ridley this year. Seems the prolific offense went backwards.

Here's a story on the relationship and jumble between Tua, Sark, Smart, Kiff, Fromm, UA, USC and UGA during all the recruitment.

Atlanta's offense average 389 yards a game which was enough for 6th place in the NFL but had a defense that gave up an average of 385 yards per game.....
