Be careful buying from Gulf States. A buddy of mine purchased a gun from them recently and got pulled over by the sheriff last month and they ran the serial # and it came back stolen out of Georgia. He told the sheriff that he had just purchased it from Gulf States but didn’t have any paperwork on him. He got arrested and was taken downtown, it was a big mess. They finally dropped the charges once he provided paperwork from the purchase.

Awesome job!!! It is great that poachers were apprehended. And it was a bonus that they were illegal invaders! Just hope some bleeding heart judge doesn't let them stay. Probably not. I know one now that was arrested in Hoover DUI and cocaine possession. Spent 120 days in immigration lock up in Louisiana. A judge released back into the community and he also has legal status until his next immigration court date. He told the judge he needed to be here to support his three babies. And this has been within the last 6 months.

DUI and cocaine possession are not federal crimes. Well, cocaine possession is if you possess it to distribute. But, regular personal possession is a federal misdemeanor and is almost never prosecuted unless it is on a military base.

But, I am sure you are right, I don't know anything about criminal prosecutions.

An Illegal immigrant in possession of a firearm is a federal crime. Our new US Attorney in the Northern District is prosecuting every crime he can. He is prosecuting gun crimes like I have not seen since the early 2000s. Prosecutions in federal court in north Alabama are up over 100% under him.
