Tried it, didnt care for it. I wasnt a bad taste but the texture reminded me I was eating deer guts/organs.

Slice it in 5/8" thick pieces, pan sear it 1 to 1.5 minutes per side, remove from heat let rest and east. It is the tenderest muscle in a deer. It is fine dense tender MUSCLE meat. DO NOT overcook, period (anything past rare/medium rare is overcooked).

I made fajitas with it and it was fantastic. Cut the top off and core it out kinda like you would a bell pepper. Cut out the chambers and any connective tissue, then cut it into strips or however you're going to prepare it. It's a great cut of meat. Remember, the heart isn't an organ like kidneys, liver, etc.....it's a muscle.

Sliced, battered, fried. Tastes wonderful.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Picked deer heart is my family’s favorite. Been wanting to try this myself, mind sharing your recipe? Thanks! I actually like changing it up and experimenting with different recipes. Google search will pull up good basic stuff. Really any mixture will be good involving: balsamic vinegar, apple cider vinegar, Italian dressing, various spices, worcestire sauce. It’s a little different each time but always good. Sliced thin and served on a cracker with a cold beer to sip on whhhooooooweeeee that’s good stuff!!!!

Tried it, didnt care for it. I wasnt a bad taste but the texture reminded me I was eating deer guts/organs. my wife slices it thin then fries it till its almost crispy. taste kind of like calf liver. its pretty good and Iam not a big fan of deer liver. the heart is my favortie part.
