Not much going on this morning, all the water has the birds spread out I am sure. Managed to kill a pair of teal and a pair of hoodies. Only saw a few mallards and they were high and headed elsewhere.

Good stuff, Matt. I saw a pair of hoodies on a little pond in my backyard this morning, but I'm not sure what the rules are for shooting a gun where I am. If there were some woodies, I would have chanced it.

Killed a pair of gaddies on Thursday morning. Still haven’t seen a push of new birds yet, but it could be worse I suppose.

I never hunted in areas that substantially held anything other than wood ducks until the last 2 years. They are absolutely understated looking birds. I'd like to get one mounted one of these days. I haven't hunted since before christmas. If I can get a nice plumed drake then I might have to save it for the fridge.
