I've got a friend that should have a jam up litter around 1st week of January that'll be born. Now with that said there might be a pet prospect or 2 but i would be very suprised if that's the case. The sire and dam are some serious titled ipo working dogs. I know both dogs personally(sire is in springville and he bred his bitch(in Talladega) to him and both are the real deal. My newest 10mth old female out of the sire but different bitch ain't no joke and not for just anybody. She's constant work 24/7 and no off switch, ball drive that's dangerous but that has let me do some serious nose imprinting on her and her grip(full, hard and calm and pushes in to the decoy) like my male at only 52lb. My male that's 15mth old that came from this breeder(Talledega) but from a different pairing all together is a very and i mean very real dog and not for just any handler either. We've got a bond like no tomorrow and in all honesty he needs to be on the street and not on the sport field as he is pushy and wants to bite and needs no stimulation what so ever but clear headed like nothing I've ever seen. Everday he test me and i still have to roll him all the time as he always wants to work and that's were he test me when I'm kenneling him to getvanother dog out to train.Needless to say he's got all the rank you'd want and not just anyone can handle him or catch him on the sleeve( been doing resistance grip strengthening with him and he literally can get thru a hidden sleeve). Ball and hunt drive for days. Let me know and I'll send you his info. Real good people and really knows the breed and won'tt place certain dogs with just anyone. But i do know he also does some nice pet breedings also. He's all about the health and breed standard.

Thanks for that inatree and itv was great talking with you and also to be able to meet an aldeer member out at the schutzhund club. Hate you couldn't stay and see some dogs on the grip but hope i was able to explain some of the processes and theory behind it.. Maybe another time.

furnfeather, I had a female Mal for 15 years, working K-9 for seven years till I retired. Her sire was an imported working dog in Mandeville La. Very smart and won the national detector dog world championships over the Customs and Border Patrol dogs in El Paso.
Your comment that yours "likes to bite" reminded me of Barry. You had to watch him closely when apprehending a crook. After the bad guy was in cuffs Barry would ease up REAL close and low growl and nose push the bad guy to make him run...so he could bite him again. Great dog and very smart.

That's awesome BhamFred. Knpv lines? That's a truly great and highly accomplished task/testing to place for dog and handler. A lot of time blood, sweat, frustration and tears go into a bond that will get you those kind of results and home everynight from the job.As i tell people that i meet all the time when they say "i want that from my dog" not to hurt your feelings but not everyone is cut out for this or that kind of dog/lifestyle and not all dog's can be a professional athlete or a real dog.You just need a pet with OB on it depending on what you want to put in it and get out of it. Now with that said i can only do so much with what drives your dog is showing and temperament/nerves. Most folks stop right there when i get that far into describing to them the TIME that i put into training and playing with dogs(not just my own, goes back to lifestyle for me). Buddy of mine has some knpv mali lines that actually is going to give him a rough time for sport work(has for the 2 generations previous)but he also knows what it takes to get them to score and not DQ on the sport field. All his mali knowledge also transfers over to helping with certs on many department dogs when decoying and doing scentwork and trailing. I'm hoping to get what I'm looking for from the gsd in the next 3-4 years if not I'll be adding some knpv dutchies to my regiment but not for the schutzhund field, possibly psa and a few more venues. Only time will tell.

99% of folks do not understand how much time and effort goes into producing a well trained, multi tasking dog. I got my dog at 7 weeks and worked with her EVERY day for some amount of time. This went on for prolly two years. She excelled at Handler protection, apprehension, area search, drugs, finding game, tracking people, tracking deer. The bond between us was so tuned that she would do what I needed her to do before I could give her a command to do it. I used to take her to Eastlake Park in Bham on weekends to get her used to strangers and socialized.
