You are not alone. I went again this morning.
All season I have fired one round at a legitimate duck.
If I wanted to not see anything I could have kept deer hunting.

Yea I left AR the other day, one of the worst migrations I've seen. Seen one field with significant numbers of birds. Extremely few other fields holding any up near Weiner.

I’m amazed at the low numbers of ducks my friends are seeing in MS and Ark. No way I’d hunt all weekend for that.

Well yea they pile up here and don't move around. But these ducks mostly come from the NE flyway (Delmarva) area not so much the Mississippi flyway

I am heading up to Weiner to hunt the 1st and the 2nd. Hopefully there will be a good push before then.

I hunt central Alabama lakes which are not notorious duck hunting hot spots, but usually good for a few ducks with proper scouting, but I can’t find them. I thought with this unusually cold winter we would be loaded with ducks.

The crazy thing is that Golden Eye arrived here early. Lot's of Duck Hunters out searching, I see them daily wearing out the boat ramps.
They are typically late season birds.

I have hunted three times in Alabama and had three very successful hunts. All three hunts took some significant scouting to find huntable birds. Hunted five days in Arkansas after the split and had some jam up hunts there. From the reports I am getting the birds have vanished out in the area we hunt. They will show back up but when who knows. Too much water in Alabama for to many good hunts. Ducks are spread out everywhere.

Good friends son killed a banded golden eye last weekend on gville. Bird was banded in Saskatchewan in 2104. Uestwrday he killed another band, hen ring neck. Little chit has a rabbit's foot up his ass.

I just got back from fours days in AR near Stuttgart. Record flooding in the area and shot a total of three birds in three days. Just too much water and too many o places to land other than my setup. Normal spots were too deep to get to.

The morning after I left, my son and two friends did shoot eleven birds among them. Just my luck.

What really stands out is the birds NOT seen in the air. My friends new lease covers 4 farms spread from Grubbs to Fair Oaks, we always see at least a bunch of Shovelers in the fields West of Harrisburg. He told me last night everyone he knew had left for home again! Some of the guides he knows are telling clients to hold off no need in coming over.

It kinda reminds me of the late 90's when fields were in crazy high demand and birds never showed. Those guys on hwy 49 building pits/sled blinds looked busy.

Went to a farm that usually hold birds and had over 100 gadwalls on one pond Satueday. NOTHING! It is bad guys, birds are hung up somewhere ins Midwest I guess. Where are all of the birds going? Makes no sense to me. I guess because of all the high water, above average temps in areas, and what ever else has got them scattered. I am lost...…………………………..

All your woodies are at my place close to Marion. We’ve got a roost pond with several thousand coming to it. Most I’ve ever seen on our club

I drove 500 + miles in the past week.
I saw ONE DUCK sitting by itself on a pond.
Our pasture pond was flooded which usually
results in a variety of ducks: mallards, teal, gadwall, widgeon, etc....
Nothing on that pond over 4 days.
No Wood Ducks flying over at dawn/dusk which is usually a given.
