Looking for a lower costing brush gun open sights light weight short barrel located jasper area

I use a Rossi r92 in 44 mag. They can be had fairly reasonably new at simmons in bessemer. Give them a call if you cant find anything used. Also have the same rifle in 45 Colt, both make an excellent brush caliber.

Great suggestion.
If you want a 30-30, I have a Glenfield 30-30 made by Marlin, JM stamped barrel, and pre-safety.
Basically a levergun made by Marlin back when they were plain ‘ole solid shooters...$300.
