Back in the boat this morning hunting Wheeler. I’m in a jam up pinch point. Everything is froze and the squirrels sound like elephants in these leaves. I can easily see 100 yards in every direction. I have 3 scrapes within 30 yards. Now if I can just get warm from the long boat ride. I got a good feeling about this spot. Good luck y’all, aim small and kill what makes you happy!

I have seen a hot doe, 3pt on her tail and a small 8pt dragging up the rear. However the 8pt. Is leaving a blood trail now. I hit him lower than I would have liked and he was still going at 125 yards out of sight. I’m going to give him 3 hours and while I wait I may just shoot me a doe.

You on em. My old man's on wheeler this morn, said he watched a small buck earlier.

3pt just came back through looking for his buddy he lost this morning. Here is my outstanding view this morning. My boat is 80 yards behind me.

Well I’m down to one arrow, due to a swing and a miss at a doe. I still see a young buck running a doe around and around. Heck of a morning so far. I’m going to try to get a doe before I get down.

That 3pt is keeping the does stirred up in here. Action is slowing down since they have smelt me a few times. Frost is starting to melt off now, I sure hope big daddy don’t walk through.

10am I’m going to get down and round up my arrows and shed some clothes at the boat. By the time I eat a bite and start blood trailing he should have had plenty of time. I haven’t seen anything the past hour.

Heck yeah! Living vicariously through ya JD. Sure sucks to be working on such a perfect morning.

Well I be dang if I haven’t done it again. Tagged out by 10am. I got to get down and get busy. Wow what a day! I’m fixing to run deer off when I get down, but it’s all good. Scouting has paid off!

Uh oh I hit way to low on the buck going by my arrow. Zero blood nothing but hair. I haven’t looked for blood yet. I got to get this doe out and eat anyway, so that will give him more time. Maybe I will get lucky.

Found about 10 drops of blood from buck, so all I got is this doe. Still a good day for me.

Does Aldeer need to take up a collection for you to get a 5 arrol quiver

I need to sell my chit and take up gun hunting. I have lost 2 bucks this year due to poor shooting or buck fever, whatever you want to call it. My number one problem on both bucks is I climbed to high which equals smaller target.

Looks like a summit

That is about a 1998 summit cobra. I bought it new in 98’ I think and use it 95% of the time. It’s climbed at least 1400 trees and I have only replaced cables once, but I have replaced heat shrink tubing a ton of times. If that ole stand could talk. Lol.
