I was running cameras before deer season on our lease and had coyote pics every night. 3 coyotes in most pics in one 80 acre cut over area every night. I set traps there and caught those 3 coyotes in the first week plus a straggler that I caught about 5 days after I caught the last of the original 3. No more pics or coyote tracks in the cut over.

I pulled the traps and 2 weeks later the roads were full of coyote tracks.

Same time frame I ran traps for a customer that had lost several cats and a small dog to coyotes. I had traps out for 10 days and caught 4 coyotes, 3 less than 100 yards from the customers house. Tracks went away so I pulled my traps. 2 weeks later she called to say the roads were full of coyote tracks again and she was hearing them again.

I know we don't have the coyote population that you fellas in North Bama have but if we've got enough that they'll move into new territory as soon as the residents are caught out we definitely need more folks involved in trapping.

We're also at a time where dispersal of last year's pups are taking place. They're going to fill any holes, especially where food is available.

I can’t keep my dang yard dog quiet at night for the last week. Jokers howl every time they do and it’s been constant recently. I’ve had to start crating him at night after we put the toddler to bed

I remember the days before Coyotes or Clubs.
Oh, how I miss them.

Do it and you'll be hooked. It's more fun than hunting. I just wish I had time to run and check traps every day

X2 ! To me it's real close to turkey hunting.

Hey North40, next time you get a line out let me know, I'd like to ride along and pick your brain.

On my club we hardly ever heard them last year. I caught 5 after deer season. Now my cameras have them every week and I heard 3 packs one afternoon. We do have a lot more fawns this year and hopefully I can knock them back down come February.

I should have a few out this coming week then starting the 14th - 28th I'll be running hard with a lot of traps out. I've got several trapping jobs that I've put off due to work and 4,000+ acres of my own that needs to be trapped.

Anytime you want to ride along and help out it'll be much appreciated! Now as far as picking my brain I'm afraid you'd just get bored and fall asleep! Lol!

I'll be glad to help out, especially if you have coyote and beaver traps going.

I'm gonna dye and wax Monday weather permitting and should have a few traps out Tuesday if you want to come set some or you can wait another week or so and come run with me on a big line.

Had one standing in the driveway at 2 am this morning yelping it up. Must be breading season.
