Took from daylight til after dark yesterday but I'm back in business.

Pretty sore this morning! Lol!

Yeah I know there are easier ways to do it but I love tradition.

Most people have no idea of the work it takes to trap.

Looks good Hank!

Thanks David!

I dyed and waxed 7 dozen steel traps, a dozen beaver traps and 45 dp traps. I only dyed the dp traps to clean them up good. Still have 3 dozen conibears to do but I was worn out yesterday.

I've honestly got way more traps than I could possibly use!

I hope to get out on the marsh soon and set some Conibears.
Yes, that's a lot of traps. I'd be lucky to put out a dozen or so.

Have you used Kendal's newer K9 extreme traps?

I have his older ones with the laminations being round rods instead of flat on top and bottom.
I was wondering about using his coated ones, and if they needed to be dyed each year?

David B.

I'd have to go look and see David. The coated ones I bought were showing rust at points where they were metal on metal so I dyed them with the rest a couple years ago and now I can't even tell which ones were coated to begin with.

At no extra cost when I buy more they'll definitely be coated.

Lined up another 2,000 acre lease to trap this afternoon so it looks like I'll be super busy Friday. I've got 4 different properties to set. This'll be the most traps I've ever had out at one time if I manage to set all 4 places this coming weekend.

I enjoy prepping traps. Something about it makes me feel like I have stepped back in time.

That's why I started building up my collection of double long spring traps! I'm going to run a line with nothing but double longs on drags next week.
