Most people never give them the chance to settle in together. They just shoot the first hog that walks out. It seems different where I hunt in Macon county. I've never seen hogs and deer in the same field together and I've hunted some good sized plots with a good deer density and hog population. I hunted in Demopolis a few years ago and saw them in the same field just like your picture.

I think this is the worst I’ve seen hogs I haven’t been hunting once in Macon county this year and not seen hogs we’ve killed 5 as a group. Have you killed any this year?

In 30+ years of hunting I have never seen deer share a field with wild hogs. I've seen them share a small pasture with domestic hogs, but never with wild ones. That's an awesome sight and pic. Same. Deer in field are wide open getting out of as soon as they see the pig but we have only had hogs the last 15 or so years. Maybe in a few more generations they will get used to them.

When the hogs show up have you ever just watched them for a while or do you just shoot as soon as they run the deer out the field?

Like you said shooting dont do much good but scare the deer. I watch the deer blow and run off then watch the hogs til dark. I will shoot one if it's a big boar by himself but never shoot or spook the sows or little ones cause I move the trap over asap. Depending on the number of hits the deer wont return to that field until the hogs have been removed a few weeks. If it's just a few hogs the deer will feed when the hogs are not in the field
