Title sums it up. How many of you get out in the rain. Do you still see numbers of deer. Ive always been a fair weather Hunter but I've got a tree umbrella and frogg Toggs making me.want to get out in the rain and try it tomorrow. (Long as it isn't a torrential downpour)

May not have killed anything, but always a good time

I’ve bowhunted plenty of times in the rain when it’s not just raining cats and dogs. Always debate on whether it’s worth it or not but sometimes you just gotta go when you can.

I have always been fearful of losing the blood trail due to the rain

I’m not that mad at them anymore. Only time I’ll do it is if I’m on an out of state trip.

I am that mad at them, but I would only take a shot I'm really, really sure of.

I do. I killed my 10 point a couple weeks ago in the rain. When it stops, they move a lot. I've killed my two biggest in light to moderate rain.

I've done it but don't like to. I passed up shooting a huge buck one evening with my recurve, wasn't sure in that hard of a rain I could track him. If I had my compound and Simmons heads I might of tried him. Damn big deer at 15 yards on the ground slipping.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Werid how violent the water explodes off ya bow when ya release. I shot a bull a few years ago and barely caught the arrow in flight so much water flew off

My go to tactic is to find the hottest scrape closest to bedding. When the rain stops, bucks will come freshen that scrape with new urine. Focus on on the bigger community scrapes where trails intersect. The dinner plate size scrapes are not as productive consistently. Only thing those tell me is that their is a buck in the area. Find the bedding, find the community scrape near it, hunt downwind of it on a rainy day, don't miss.

^^^This. I don’t like getting my gear/bow wet. I was forced to do it a couple times in Illinois this year. Didn’t like it. It would have to be a chip shot also.

This is the reason I hunt in the rain too. I have a tree umbrella and it works great to keep me and my gear drive. I've even brought a golf umbrella with me. Yes, it makes noise and may look weird, but I'm dry and in the stand when the rain moves out.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
