I am looking to buy a red dot scope for my AR15. I only use the AR for shooting hogs/coyotes/bobcats. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of red dot I should get? I'd rather not spend more than $300 on it but I want a good quality scope. Thanks!

I have a sig romeo 5. I like it pretty well.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I have a Vortex Sparc-AR on a AR in 7.62x39.
Love it. Think it was a little over 200$.

I have 1 of these as well. Haven`t had any issues with it.

Thanks guys! I have heard nothing but good things about the Vortex, and I will definitely check out the Sig Romeo 5.

Die-hard Vortex guy. With that said, Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight is hard to beat at $50.

I was die-hard vortex, but mostly because of their warranty. Now that Primary Arms has the same kind of no-nonsense warranty I have started moving over to them because the quality is comparable and I really like the reticles they offer. If I had a budget of $300 and wanted a 1x optic I would probably go with their 1X Compact Prism Scope because of the etched BDC reticle.
