That boys right front foot is sure messed up. I would guess he is 4-5 years of age.

somebody that said 3 telll me why it looks 3 Guessing you got no answers Fred? See my answer above FWIW. I think I tend to err on the side of younger to prevent shooting young ones. But I gave my reasons for saying 3.5.

I was just curious. Nothing wrong with erring on the younger side.
btw, never use the antlers to judge age, you will end up shooting exceptional young deer.

btw, never use the antlers to judge age, you will end up shooting exceptional young deer. I try not to take antlers in to account, but when there are conflicting characteristics, I'll look at them too for a possible tie breaker. And then I try to apply the rule of erring on the young side UNLESS the antlers simply leave no doubt that the deer can't be that young. This pic is not such a pic. I mentioned them as one clue, though they're the least reliable. One of the things I think (IMHO) is fooling people, is the coat being "fluffed" out making him look thicker. I see no extra brisket skin, I see flat back and flat belly, and the legs don't look that short to me. FWIW, YMMV. I don't claim expert status by any stretch.
