I have a small flock behind my house now. While I was feeding the chickens I heard them not far behind my yard. I started yelping using my voice and made a bird gobble 3 times.

GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They can gobble at any time. Have heard them gobble in January. Always fun to hear one rip it.

I was duck hunting in a Cleburne Co. watershed lake on time in January. It was 8 deg on my truck therm. There was a gobbler on a hill behind us giving it hell for about 30 minutes. I was shocked to say the least.
