velvet tines OP Doe Joined: May 2007 Posts: 1,443 chasing pirates	...to catch a black coyote. i have seen them for years on the game cameras. been running 5 traps and haven't caught anything since October 17th. scored this morning with a black song dog. called a coworker who fleshes them out for the pelt and he skinned her in the misting rain and cold. 'twas good to get her. young and probably didn't weigh 25 pounds soaking wet.

The first seven coyotes that I ever caught were all black. I was excited when I finally caught a regular one. Unfortunately I was young and dumb and never saved one of them. I caught a huge male that was solid black with kinda silver colored guard hairs once that in hindsight I wish I would've gotten tanned or something.
