Anyone do it and got any tips? Not my ideal situation but it’s all we got since my buddy sold his land last week. My son is determined to get his first deer this year. So I’m going to do my best to make it happen. We will be hunting most likely Tva land from the ground. Any tips to keep kids occupied while hunting if it’s dead? Usually he has a kindle but being on the ground and not in a shooting house not sure if that’s a good idea.

I think he'd be fine with that as long as y'all aren't hunting in a thicket where u cant see good...but as long as no deer sneaks up on u within 40 yards u should be ok just turn down volume...i take my 6 yr old n put phone on mute but I hunt in thick stuff where sound matters

Give him headphones and get a stake blind to set up in front of y'all or a ground blind and a shooting stick. I'd rather go the stake blind my self.

It’s damn difficult. I take my 3, 5 and 10 yr old boys to Lowndes wma. When they are with me we don’t see chit. I see deer within killin range every time by myself but between them fighting, throwing akerns or pine cones at each other, they ain’t gone see chit unless the deer is deaf and blind. But I love it
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

But I love it I feel your pain. . My boy stays hungry and thinks rattling the chip bag is ok, so I got Pringle’s to make it quieter but he just started eating them louder. There nothing spending time in the woods with him though.

A pocket knife that they won’t slice their finger off with and a stick to whittle on helps us pass the time. I do not like electronics with us. That’s a good idea. My boys loved to whittle Spears

I do love my grandson & can't wait to take him deer hunting but i think I will wait. He's a 3 year old brat, when he understands what yes, no & be quiet means I will take him.
