A few years ago a logging crew set up a chipping area just outside of this plot. We removed the scrappy pines between the chipping area and the plot this week. This allowed us to move the house about 50 yards off the plot and will significantly improve our ingress and egress. Previously, the house was right on top of the plot. Where possible, we've made an effort to move houses off the fields. This has resulted in increased deer sightings. We moved the old house to the top of the hill so the contractor would have a point of reference. We'll be swapping out the old house this weekend with a larger one. The timing wasn't great but we're glad to finally get the project completed. We've been trying to get someone to do the work for four months.

I do believe I would turn that entire open space into a food plot and either leave a 30-50 yard buffer of natural grasses or plant corn and beans and leave standing.

Looks great. Love those types of set ups.

Looks great. I'd love to have a big food plot like that someday. As josh said I'd also make the entire space into a food plot.
