I case no one has told you the Us Military presently uses Sigs, before that Berettas. Plenty of chances to go to Glock, but not done.

The military doesn't consider Glocks because one of the requirements is an external safety.

last year it was between glock and sig. The sig won because it was cheaper. I think due to already having parts and mags.

I have an acquaintance who retired from Special Forces. I asked him what he carries.
“There’s a Glock 43 on me just about all the time,” he said.
He has either a 17 or 19 in the truck.
“The 43 will get me back to the truck where I’ve got more firepower,” he said.

The seals are given a budget to purchase whatever they want, within reason, and last I heard most of them have chosen the Sig P229.
