Hunted hard for 4 days, but finally connected. He chased a doe across a pasture. She scooted under the barbed wire fence, and he hesitated instead of jumping over. And the obvious questions - 183 - 6/8 low fence large private ranch with tons of feeders to help grow deer like this one. They were thrilled, as it is the new ranch record.

Beautiful deer!
Love the character of the antlers, and curling in at the tips, the width, long tines, and mass!
What's the circumference of the right main frame at the g3?
Do you thinkl it would of made 200 if it had the extra tine on its right side like it does the left?
I'm not hung up on scores, nor do they mean much to me, but trying to grasp its actual size in my mind compared to picture representation.
I'm delighted for you, the land owners, and ranch hands which helped make that deer's potential show!
Congrats!
God Bless, David B.

Regarding questions and comments, thank you all for the kind words. I was in the right place at exactly the right time, and he was so lovestruck he tried to go under the 4 strand barb wire instead of jumping it.
It will be a pedestal mount
Don't think it would have grossed 200, but may have passed 190 if it had the other tine. Several tines were worn down, and he broke a cheater off the right side as well
Smallest mass circumference measurement was 4" even
183-6/8 was the gross, not the net. All the abnormals on the right, and the extra tine on the left, would push his net WAY below B&C. Fortunately, I don't care about net score, just big, mature, pretty deer.
Ranch guys believe he will age out at 5-1/2, but will wait on the jawbone to be sure.
Regarding the "buck of a lifetime" and "sell your guns" comments, I am a lucky man, and I hope you are both wrong. I have a lot of hunts left, and I hope to take one bigger!
Had one bigger last year, but not free range.

Nice deer, Texas grows some big ones. Is it just the picture or does that thing have a red fox tail? That is some odd coloring. Dang nice buck deer!
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...
