Does anyone have experience with both the Lone Wolf SCC II and the Treewalker Promag XL stands? What can you tell me about each? Pros? Cons? I'm in the mood to buy another stand ...
Thanks! Rocket out ...

I have the LW Sit-n-Climb wide model. Summit Viper is a tad more comfortable for long sits, but the LW folds flat, carries better, and the cast alum platform is quieter. Don't know anything about treewalkers.

Good info thanks. I’d give up a little comfort for better carrying. I’ve got several Summits and like them but I’m wanting to try something different

I have a sit and climb wide I'd sell you if I was closer. I just hang and hunt now.

I have two Lone Wolf Sit & Climbs with the Hazemore net seats. They’re quiet, pack very easy and comfortable enough for an all day sit.

If you want easy walking and a comfortable sit, get a summit openshot. If you don’t like the feel of sitting in a lock on then don’t get it

I had a summit viper but have switched to a Lone Wolf hang on. The viper was heavy, bulky, loud, and didnt pack well and over all wasn’t comfortable for long sits.

My Summits are very comfortable for me but they are very noisy when packing and setting up, hence I am wanting to try something new. Nighthunter let me try out his Treewalker once and I loved it. I’ve never tried a LW so it’s good to hear from y’all that have. I hate lock ons ...

Tree walker is the best stand you’ll ever buy! Try and find some one that has something bad to say about them. I have a summit that I would throw away if I had to chose between the 2. Any answers not for tree walker has never used one.

I’m looking for a lighter and more packable climber as well. I love the comfort of my summit titan but it’s very hard to be quiet and it’s bulky maneuvering through the woods.

Any answers not for tree walker has never used one. Have you tried the LW? Not the one your asking about, but I have climbed one and i didn’t feel like it stuck there the tree as well as the TW. I had a fall from another stand, and bought a TW and now I’m more confident in it than I am a loc on or even a ladder

I’ve never tried a LW so it’s good to hear from y’all that have. I hate lock ons ... This is my first year with a hang on and I’m undecided after a few hunts. The only issue I have is putting up the sticks, maybe I’ll have a system down before to much longer. I’ve never hunted from a treewalker but I’ve messed around with one and it seemed like a great stand. Honestly if this hang on doesn’t work out I’m going to buy a treewalker. It was light, comfortable, and packed easy. If you’re in the market they are worth checking out.

I'll add a few more thoughts. The TWalker is my favorite stand that I own. If I had to only own one stand, it would be the TW. I've never owned a summit, just fyi. Even though I love my TW, I would never describe it as easy to carry in, especially with a load of cold weather clothing strapped on, nor would I describe it as particularly quiet during set up and climbing (although I am convinced that the scratching noise from the TW spikes have brought in a few curious does more than once). I WOULD describe the TW as the safest, most secure stand I hunt out of, and that includes double ratchet-strapped and chained ladder stands. Once you get the TW set up, cinch down those third hand archery stabilizer straps, it becomes the most rock solid stand you can find. It is also ridiculously comfortable, the chill pad combined with the mesh seat is outstanding. I can spend all day in it easy.
The LW I have is a completely different animal. I have the LW wide sit n climb with flip top seat, so it's like a climber that sets up like a lock on. No bar in front when you get set up, just a seat and platform. That sucker packs FLAT, and that makes a huge difference in portability. It is also much lighter than the TW. I haven't put either on the scale, but the LW just feels significantly different. I can walk about twice as far with the LW on my back because of the weight difference. The LW also is much, much quieter. There is really not a thing on that stand that makes much of a noise. Every time I use it I am always shocked at the difference between my TW and the LW in noise. The LW is perfect for those situations when you need to go in ninja-quiet.
That being said I don't feel half as safe in the LW as I do in my TW. The stands just set up so differently on the tree. It has taken some adjustment for me to get used to using the LW, I wasn't a big fan of heights before I started deer hunting and the LW reminds me of that sometimes when I look down. I won't go much over 18 to 20 feet in the LW because of that. And that's not a knock on LW, thats on me. But it is something I would consider.

I'll think the LW feels different bc of the rubber belts, I can feel it stretch a little so it takes a few climbs to trust it. I never liked the way the Hand climber climed. Looks like the sit and climb may have worked for me. Definitely packs down quite, tight and fast. Using a summit viper this year and it does climb better and is more comfortable even after I swapped to the net seat, but packing, carrying and set up is not nearly as easy
