Every Browning owner I know with Duratouch had problems out of it. My buddy bought a brand new Cynergy and it started peeling about the time he pulled the trigger the first time. I was a little more lucky and got several years out of mine. I let it get in pretty bad shape and finally called them and the hoops you had to jump through and the absurd turnaround time deterred me from using them. I finally just took it to a professional and had it hydro dipped and clear coated with cerakote. Had it back in 4 weeks.

I took an X-Bolt to Woods & Water on Monday to ship for me and they said turnaround was down to about 6-8 weeks now. I think Browning's turnaround is in a much better state than it was 2 years ago. I received my X-Bolt back within 3 weeks.. I was shocked! When woods and Water called I thought they were calling to inform me Browning received it and to expect it to return within a few weeks.

Do any new brownings still have the crappy stocks or have they fixed the problem? I considered getting a 6.5 xbolt this summer.

I still see brownings marked dura-touch finish, maybe the corrected the issue? Wish i would've sent my wife's abolt medallion back (purchased 15 years ago) the finish on it ain't worth a dang, sure it's purty, but it'll dent if ya touch it with your finger lol.

Good to hear O. I may actually send my ABolt in now. Now would be the time to do it since the season is over. I didn't want to send my SX3 in because I pretty much use it year round, but had to bite the bullet,

What do I need to do to get mine sent in? I have a Maxus and an Xbolt both that the duratouch needs to be redone. Do I call, email them or what? Give them a call and tell them what is going on. They will take your info and email you a return label to send it in. One they’ve received it, they mail you a card letting you know. The post card has a repair number and a password where you can check the status . Number is 1-800-322-4626. 8-4 CST.
