This has been going on for many years. It's not new.

I'd rather leave the Constitution alone and argue continually in the courts than make a change that comes back to bite us or our future generations.

The Dems are going to interpret the constitution in their best interests regardless. I agree with having your own standards/morals/ethics about it, but it won't change a thing they do. Not even a little.

Trump, likes to get things done and I'm glad he has that attitude. Even in running a business, there are policies and then there are guidelines. You don't phuck with Policy, it's the core of your business beliefs. Same with the constitution, its the foundation by which our country was founded. You don't just "Change" it. You have to follow policy..you have to or it's simply just a bunch of words with no meanings. Mark my word, if Trump does this, we can kiss gun ownership as we know it, goodbye by at the end of the Trump administration.

And if he doesn't? Same result. I just don't get that line of thinking. They're going after guns, regardless. If you oppose this executive order, I can certainly respect that, but not for preservation of "other" constitutional rights. The left literally doesn't care.

The line of thinking, is that you can't be a hypocrite. You can't pick and choose when to molest the constitution because it fits an agenda. Yes, regardless of what Trump does, the left will still do what they do and we will have to fight that fight. That being said, if you become what your fighting, then what's the point.

This is alarmist and misplaced.

The SCOTUS has consistently ruled that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right.
And there is a clear conservative majority on the court, with room to add to that majority.

On the other hand with respect to the 14th Amendment - the SCOTUS has never even ruled on the issue of illegals having
children in the U.S. This has only been dealt with on the basis of a pre 1960s common sense approach by the Executive Branch
which is that they do not have automatic citizenship, and a post 1960s liberal agenda approach by the Executive Branch that they do.

You are correct and it will get fast tracked just like the earlier immigration policies were. He will win in the end. Justifiably so.

Yes - this legal issue is going to get fast tracked to SCOTUS and it will also give the Congress a chance to specifically legislate that there
is no birthright citizenship for illegals - which will also be subject to SCOTUS review.
