yes, there is many places I don't want to take a full size vehicle that is my daily driver, that's why I hunt from a jeep.

I have a hunting truck for a few reasons. 1, because my daily driver is a car (for gas mileage, long trips, etc..) 2, its older and has some scratches, so I dont mind putting a few more on it when I'm off road. I dont want a nice new truck going where this one would go. Not that I treat it like crap, but still. 3, i dont have alot of money in it, so I'm not going to be heartbroken if something happens to it. 4, it makes a nice backup vehicle.

If I had a "farm" or family land that I owned (as opposed to just a hunting lease), I'd probably have an old beater truck for miscellaneous work around the property, but most anywhere I hunt requires a 30-60 minute drive.....I don't want to make that drive in a beat up rattlecan truck that I can see the ground through the floor boards. I'd rather make that drive in my nice, quiet, fancy truck with satellite radio and heated seats, then unload the 4 wheeler when I get there and use it to get around.

Every time I buy a new trucks I always say I won't treat this one like the last but that only lasts about 2-3 trips to the farm. I buy my truck to use not to look good so I have no need in a "hunting truck". THIS ^^^^^

well basically, yes - my truck is MOSTLY a "farm" truck - stays dirty all the time, used for hunting, firewood cutting, etc. my daily driver is a rice burner

I have an older truck that is used primarily for hunting or hunting related tasks. It is a regular cab Z71. It gets around the woods much easier than my 4 door F250.

If you dont want your new truck dented and brush whipped there is a reason Hell, this happens in just about any parking lot you park in! I use my truck like a truck, only reason to have something else for hunting out of is b/c of being quieter or harder to access locations - in that case, I would use an electric. If I owned a "farm" or a bunch of land, then yeah, I'd probably have a dedicated farm truck.

Everybody needs an old farm/hunting truck , unless you don't mind beating your "Sunday pickup" to pieces.

Now that an old Jeep cost $10k instead of the $3,500 it is really worth... there is not much sense in owning a hunting truck.
A hunting truck use to be an excuse to have an old $3,500 Jeep to ride around in. Now the Yuppies done gone and priced me out of the market! My old rust bucket is now their grocery getter.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
