Has any of you fellas ever tried any of the heated hunting clothing like heated base layers or heated pants, jackets; or vests? Even the heated socks and gloves. Ive been looking ag some of it online an wondered how good it really is. I started lookin at it when i was looking at the Thermacell heated insoles. Any feedback would be appreciated

Honey Lou Lou should have some suggestions on this.

I used to use heated socks when hunting, but found they make my feet sweat and actually make them colder than wearing regular socks. Im sure if you were up and moving around they would be okay, but not just sitting in a stand.

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

About the closest thing I use to heated clothing is Toasty Toes for my boots if it's REALLY cold. I would get too hot since I hunt from a climber most of the time. Might be useful if you had a short walk to a shooting house or ladder stand.

Go and buy m65 field jacket liner and matching liner pants. Wear them over your base layer and under clothes, they work great super light no batteries and will costed you about 20$.

Try rechargeable hand warmers. Place then around your body in several spots they work well.

The thermacell heated insoles are pretty nice. I haven't had any issues out of them. Obviously I don't use them every time, but when I want them, they are nice. I've got a Milwaukee heated zip up hoodie that is nice too.- It doesn't produce scorching heat, but it's warm enough to notice on a cold morning.

I've got a heated vest that works really well. Wear it between your base layer and your outer garments and it helps on frigid days. There's a reason bikers wear heated gear on winter rides...

I have the thermacell heated insoles that use a remote. Ive used them for 3 seasons with no issues so far. I don't have a problem with sweating cause I only turn them on when my feet get cold. they aren't producing heat walking in and out of the stand.

It amazes me how many folk never understood that our bodies are the heater and all we have to do is regulate its loss and fuel it.

It amazes me at how many folk don't know that not everyone is JohnnyLoco.

After government modifications I do operate at a higher core temperature that average humans.

The most effective way I have found to keep warm is a good insulated beanie cap and a neck gaiter.

Neck gaiters are great. I've got a drake beanie cap that will flat out burn me up, I can't hardly wear the damn thing even in single digit temps. lol

I learned how to keep my feet warm many years ago. I started changing socks after I got to the stand. When it was REAL cold, I'd change socks and boots at the stand. I have never had cold feet when they were completely dry, as in no sweat.

I learned how to keep the rest of my body warm after I started shaving my head. I wear a handmade wool toboggan.

Now if I could just figure out how to keep my fingers warm.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Worst part of hunting with an AR. Especially my 6.8 spc w/hogue handguard. Too much bare metal transferring cold through my gloves. The .223 at least has a poly Magpul handguard.

I have a Milwaukee heated jacket and I love it! I've had it for several years and it still works great. It runs off of the 12v drill batteries. I typically get 2-4 hrs per battery...depending on heat setting. I like not having to wear a bunch of layers. I would highly recommend it if you get real cold like I do. They aren't really advertised to hunters like a bunch of other crap is so here is an amazon link...
