Alright now, I'm playing pretend aldeer deer contest I reckon. I was drawn for this team. Hope y'all win. Don't let me down. Tony if you need any help deciding on what to shoot, I have a brown and down place in Tensaw you can come kill one on. We let Walt's place manage em for us across the creek and we shoot what is left. I’m supposed to be in Missouri for 5-6 days first week in November, but my dad was going to drive out and pick me up from the airport, and his plans have been rearranged by the hurricane. Not sure if I’m still gonna go and just drive or maybe head back to Kentucky again. Time is at a premium, so I may just opt for Kentucky and catch Missouri next year.

Good luck to you wherever you go. We are supposed to go down to my 300 acre lease in Macon county and plant food plots Saturday. We should be done by 1pm so hopefully I can get my first hunt of the season I

I’m fine with either. Just itching to get in a tree, hopefully I can squeeze in a hunt this weekend.

Passed on a doe with two spotted fawns , got another stand with deer under it every morning but I’m saving them for my wife. I’ll try to get us on the board on the small game hunt this weekend .

Well has my first hunt of the season this afternoon went to a spot on my lease that I picked out from google earth. Where a big creek makes a hook I figured it would funnel the deer. Well I was right it did just not the way I expected I saw 7 deer, 2 does 1 with 2 fawns a 4 point a basket rack 8 and a bigger buck that couldn’t clearly see. Most of them walked the same path which was about 60 yards away. When I climbed down I moved my climber to a different tree which should put me in bow range. Gonna go back in the morning and see what happens.

Good luck. I’m giving it a shot this morning, hopefully a doe meanders by. This place is pretty boring to hunt, low population and neighbors that shoot everything that moves, but I’m laying off my good places until the rut.

Congrats Atoler! My dad got drawn for a SOA hunt Dec. 6-9, so i am looking forward to that! I’ve got 4 shooter bucks on camera this year also. I’ve only been able to go 2 times so far this year. I’m going to bust the first doe i see when given the chance. Good luck to y’all and Roll Tide.

Congrats on all the kills guys. I won’t be in the woods for the next 2 weeks but I’m going to hit it hard after Christmas. And will probably go hunting a few times before Christmas.

Unfortunately work is killing me. Hunted one morning last weekend. Won’t be able to hunt this weekend, then it looks like I’m going to be slammed through Christmas which is the rut at my place in Lamar.

I am headed back to Illinois next week for Muzzleloader season maybe I can add to our total

Congrats on the deer. That’s 3 bucks, three more and we are in serious contention! I’m leaving Thursday morning heading to the cedar creek SOA hunt. We can kill one buck and two does, or three does each. So I’m looking to load up on some meat hopefully.

Good luck, give us a report on the experience. I’ll be headed to uchee creek the same days, unless work throws me more curveballs.

Killed a couple of does on uchee creek today. Remembered why I normally only shoot one a year. I’m worn out. I’ve seen a few small bucks, but nothing worth shooting yet.

Seen a big one from my porch yesterday right at dusky dark seen a doe group there the last 3 days ,if the rain ll hold off I’m gonna shimmy up a big pine this evening and ground check him .

Also no matter how crappy the weather is I’m going to be hunting Wednesday-Monday. Gonna hunt some public land, a small 60 acre property I have permission to hunt, and at our camp/lease. Hopefully will get some meat on the ground and a doe or buck for the board

We’re actually doing pretty good in the contest. I should be hunting every other weekend until the end of season and the rut should be cranking up in Macon in about 2 week and should be getting pretty good here in Autauga and lowness next week. Hopefully I can get us a buck.

Good luck, my season is pretty much over. I’m looking at working probably the next 6 weeks straight through. Hope to have time to get my girlfriend a deer, but who knows.

Just missed my upgrade buck 140” 11 pointer . Came out locked down with a doe 310 yards and I shanked it ,3 times .

Well guys it's been a rough last few weeks for me ,had the walking pneumonia and finally got over the dreaded 4 weeks of coughing and got to sit in a tree stand this week ,but got a 5pt yesterday, hopefully I can get an up grade, they're finally moving in Washington County
