It’s up to the players once on the field but it’s the coaches job to recruit, coach and put the right players on the field. I don’t think Gus has an eye for such. I keep going back to when he thought Jeremy Johnson was heisman potential. Really? He lost me at that point and I’ve questioned his ability to identify, recruit and coach correct talent. Seems the trend is holding steady.
This and EVERY QB he has coached has regressed. I used to go to just about every home game. I WILL NOT even drive down there until he’s fired. I’ll bet you a $100 that Toomers is rolled the day he’s fired.

Here's another thing: tickets prices are now out of reach for Joe Family to attend. I just looked here on this AU site and for the TAMU game they are $90 each. Ninety bucks x Joe Family of 4 is $360, not including overpriced stadium food, gas to get down there, hotel if you want/have to stay — and the Auburn hotels have a two-night minimum at up to $500 a night — along with all the other crap such as traffic. I realize times change and ticket-expense increases are inevitable. And I realize you can get tickets at lower prices than $90. But these prices and expenses are stupid. Yet, people do it. Pro sports have done the same, though. I used to take our son to a "big event" at least once a year - a Braves, Falcons or Grizzlies game. Their ticket prices are now crazy, too. Far easier to stay home, not fight traffic, have my food and bathrooms, and when the game sucks you can change the channel or go fish or whatever.

Poor feller shoulda been a Bama fan  257 is the only Auburn fan that has called it like it is for the last several years Um, I think you need to review my posts..... I was thinking the same thing although I don’t post that much in the sports forum. I think me you & 257 are pretty much all on the same page when it comes to Auburn.
