I know we talked via PM, but one thing I forgot to ask and mention was, is the original stock wood?
A lot of factory stocks have shim washers under the bottom metal and if its wood, they may have stuck to the finish on the factory stock. Oil may have made them stick to a synthetic stock too...

I just went back and looked. Although I typed a reply to your PM, my boss asked me to do something yesterday and I must have hit the wrong button when trying to send it.
Anyway, I haven't seen the washer type shims available anywhere, but I haven't looked for them either. I have some brass shim that I just cut to the desired size. It's .010" thick, and I just fold it as necessary to make it thicker.
The most permanent to fix it, would be to figure out how much the floor plate needed shimming, then bedding it to the stock. That's a lot of work though not really necessary
