Has Alabama faced a top ranked defense this year or are they putting up all of these numbers against teams that are ranked at the bottom of the barrel?

I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Mississippi State has one of the best ranked defenses in the country. I guess we'll see the results after those two teams play.

But it's highly likely that those defensive stats are skewed after playing Auburn, so who knows?

Most college teams couldn't put up these numbers if they were facing high school teams. Bama will score at will against anybody. They did it in the second half of the championship game, they've continued to do it every week with ZERO drop-off regardless of who the opponent is. There is no defense that will work against a perfectly thrown pass...

Raw numbers look like this:

Louisville 93'rd total defense
Ark State 76'th total defense
Ole Miss 123'rd total defense
Texas A&M 23'rd total defense
Louisiana 118'th total defense
Arkansas 85'th total defense

Of course Alabama had a little something to do with them being down the defensive categories. Let compare:

Louisville
Gave up 513 yards to Bama. Avg against other opponenents 391

Ark State
Gave up 599 yards to Bama. Avg against other opponenents 350

Ole Miss
Gave up 516 yards to Bama. Avg against other opponenents 501 (Yikes.... they are really bad)

Texas A&M
Gave up 524 yards to Bama. Avg against other opponenents 287

Louisiana
Gave up 608 yards to Bama. Avg against other opponenents 438

Arkansas
Gave up 639 yards to Bama. Avg against other opponenents 351

Current Defensive rankings for the rest of their opponents.

Missouri 77'th in Total D. Gives up 392 yards per game.

Tennessee T-30'th in Total D. Gives up 340 yards per game.

LSU 34'th in Total D. Gives up 343 yards per game

Mississippi St 9'th in Total D. Gives up 289 yards per game

The Citadel N/A

Auburn 20'th in Total D. Gives up 323 yards per game

I see the world thru crimson glasses as much as anyone.....September and October has been fun seeing that offense work but LSU, Auburn's defense, GA and possibly the playoffs will tell the tale.....

Uh, no. No jab at Bama at all, but all of their competition has sucked.

Also most of those yards were gained in the first 2 qtrs.First team could have put 80 plus on all of them.Georgia to me has the only defense that might keep them in check.A team with a strong offense that moves the ball will be about the only thing that will keep Bama in check. IMO

How much do the bammers owe you in rent for taking up all that space in that empty noggin?

BAMA could have literally scored 100 points in a few of these games if they had wanted to.

Damn sure could have. They could have hung 100 on Ole Miss and Louisiana with no problem whatsoever. Probably could have put 80 on Louisville and Arkansas if they wanted.

Yeah, we're real delusional. We've only won 5 nattys in the last 9 years. We're hoping to get close to an .800 batting average on national championships.

You guys realize this is the same dumbass that said every one was wrong for criticizing Gus last week because he had only lost one game. I don’t think he actually understands the game or knows anything about it. He is just throwing shucks against the wall and seeing what sticks.
